At the end he speaks of how “A tzadek cannot stand where a ba’al teshuva stands!”
That means that a tzadek is always righteous and holy. He or she never had to change their way of life. Where a Ba’al teshuva, a person who is Jewish, and decided to take on new mitzvahs and leave behind the life they use to have. Can stand above the place of a tzadek. They earned the right, because they over came all the things that were around them that could have tempted them. That is quite an achievement!
Twenty years ago, I started my journey out of the church. I am still on that journey. Along the way I have met and befriended many who did the same thing. And in the same time period. Something definitely opened up that soul’s who are sensitive, felt the change and followed their neshama to a new place of being.
