Another Red Heifer Brought to Israel

This has happened many times in the past. A red heifer has been shipped from the USA to Israel. It has to go through many checks and balances.

The halacha on the red heifer is extensive.

It needs to be 100% red

Female

Never had anything around its neck.

Never worked

Chabad.org you can search “red heifer” and find many wonderful articles on it.

This is the article on the latest one. It states that there are two others coming to Israel.

May it be the one so the moshiach can come, the 3rd temple be built.

Very sad that they saw the American Indians as Cannanites…

In reality, many of the American Indians are the decendents of Jacob. They did not eat pork. They followed many Jewish customs. They even tried to teach the early Christians how to properly live “one with the Creator of All.” Instead the Christians saw them as pagan. The event brought about slaughter of a people and civilization. Forcing them from the coast all the way to Indiana…. and even further for other American Indian tribes. Even today, the USA treats them horrible. There was a water rights in the law that is so old and the USA refuses to update it. The Indian Nation lost the law suite just this month!

Instead of updating it so that waters through their territories are protected.

17th of Tammuz – Tragedies & Why We Fast From Sunrise to Sunset

Just a fast post to remind you that today is the 17th of Tammuz… Today starts the 3 weeks of mouning. Please be very careful during these 3 weeks. Many do not swim during this time nor travel. Tragedy and danger are very noticeable during this time.

Chabad.org has information on what has happened on the 17th of Tammuz. Over our history as a Jewish people there are just too many to ennumerate. You can read further on the Three Weeks on their page. It would be under Jewish Practices then find Jewish Holidays. The last day is Tisha B’ Av which is a very sad day. In scriptures it is called “The day of Tears”. That is another fast day.

Stock Market Crash of 1929 – Tishre 20, 5690

I have been curious about what actually happened to stocks after the 1929 Stock market crash. So I found a great article on Investopedia.. it is a website about investment terminology that I use whenever I do not understand financial terminology.

Here is what I looked up further on Chabad for what was the Hebrew date of October 24, 1929 (Thursday). It was Tishre 20, 5690. The last day of Sukkot, before Rosh Hashanah Rabba, Shemini Atzeret/Simchat Torah.

That’s wild! Opulence was so over the top before this that people were “borrowing money from banks to buy stocks!”
When the market crashed, they lost stock value; and owed on the loans. They had no money to pay the loans. Which then caused banks to fail!

We have 6 years before the 100 anniversary (If I can call it that). If you ask me, I would say “The world is on a slippery slope downhill”

The Fast of the Fourth Month… 15th of Tammuz

Thursday, July 6, 2023 is a fast day, 15th of Tammuz.
“The fast of the 4th month in scriptures.

The fast is from Sunrise to Sunset.

Israel needs prayers. Fighting in West Bank town of Jenin… after a Palestinian attack in Tel Avive that injured Israelies.

How to Keep Life From Passing You By

I found this article in my news feed this morning. Copied from Psychology Today.

It is very important to make sure you, your family and your friends are not letting life passing you/them by.

I have a tendency to stay inside in my 4 walls of my apartment. When I owned a home, that included the 4 corners of my property as well. I find comfort in my surroundings. For me, it is making my surroundings comfortable with things I like. Many items are from my grandparents, my youth and from different places where I have finally found an item. These items seem to be what I have been looking for. This includes colors that make me feel good. Everyone has their own colors that will do that for them. I love blues, purple, greens, mauve. For other’s earth tones enable them to feel grounded and calm. There is no right or wrong colors or combinations. This is totally personal. [Actually there are studies in “colorology”. I will do a separate post on that subject. It is very interesting.]

Miryam and Aaron – Water & Clouds

I just realized something from the parsha…
Miryam well… water… when she died so did their water.
Then Aaron died… he is associated with clouds.

So of course she had to pass away 1st!

In science, we know that without water on earth, it is very hard for clouds to form. Clouds suck-up the moisture and the clouds build. Ever watch a thunder head build up? You can see how tall and puffy it gets as its gaining water from other clouds. These clouds are basically “magnetized” and get pulled into the larger cloud. (Below image from bing.com/images)

This is how I reasoned that Miryam had to pass away first.

Stay safe this summer. Watch out for incoming storms. Leave the beach if thunder is heard or you are seeing the thunder heads building. If you are seeing lightning, you need to get into a safe space. NOT UNDER TREES!!!

Cars no longer have rubber tires. A car is no longer a “safe spot”.

Safety always first!
